  1. These days (later in July as the raspberries are petering out) I’m eating part of my breakfast right outside by the raspberry bushes. I’m not harvesting enough to make anything with them anyway, so it won’t hurt if I eat a few. Besides, I figure I should eat the reddest, softest ones right away since they wouldn’t hold up well to a washing at the kitchen sink.
