Today’s Harvest

HARVEST July 29, 2011

EVERYTHING is coming in now!  This is what I harvested today: 3 little heads of broccoli, 7 cucumbers (found a couple more after this picture was taken), wax beans, 6 varieties of cherry tomatoes, and 2 bags stuffed with different kinds of lettuce.  Time to hold a mini tomato tasting with the family . . .

WHAT THIS MEANS:  If you invite me over for dinner during the next few weeks, I’ll bring the salad!

I love the idea of gardening, but I have yet to grow anything edible. This is so inspiring. Congrats on your beautiful harvest!

  2. Kelly, I’d be glad to help if you decide to try growing any edibles. You can even mix them in with your ornamentals if you’re not using any herbicides and pesticides that you wouldn’t want in your food. I just saw a great example of edibles mixed in throughout the landscape at one of the other gardens that was on the walk.
